THE CITY OF AIRDRIE
CIVIC ADMINISTRATION CENTRE, AIRDRIE, AB

Bennett Architect Inc. was commissioned to design a new city hall for the City of Airdrie, a rapidly growing City of 25,000 people in central Alberta. The project involved the conversion and renovation of an existing 19,000 sq ft supermarket previously purchased by the City. After two phases the project encompasses 40,000 sq ft, and includes all of the functions of a civic office building, including a new council chamber.

THE COUNTY OF ATHABASCA
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, ATHABASCA, AB

This 15,000 sq ft office building is the County seat for the County of Athabasca No 12. It includes the County Council Chamber plus County and School Board Administrative offices.

CITY OF EDMONTON
BELLE RIVE 25F, FIRE STATION, EDMONTON, AB

The project includes a 1,295 m2 fire fighting facility with accommodation for six drive-through emergency vehicles. Facility includes: hose tower, bunker gear room, training room, sleeping accommodations, services spaces, office, staff work and recreation spaces.

CAPITAL ARCHIVES ADDITION
EDMONTON, ALBERTA

The objective of this project was to expand and recondition a 1954 railroad transfer and storage building to accommodate commercial storage and the Alberta Government art restoration facility. The addition, which added 40% of floor area to the existing building, consisted of a steel frame building with masonry walls to match the existing structure.

COUNTY OF GRANDE PRAIRIE
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, EDMONTON, AB

This 22,000 sq ft administrative building for the County of Grande Prairie accommodates all functions of this large County. The project also included a 16,000 sq ft public works shop, plus the development of a new 15 acre public works site.

CITY OF EDMONTON
EAST DISTRICT YARD BUILDINGS, EDMONTON, AB

The project includes a 25,000 sq ft energy efficient garage for indoor parking and light servicing of street maintenance vehicles; parts warehouse and wash bay; plus a 6,000 sq ft administrative office and employee facility; plus a salt storage building and extensive site development.

GRANDE PRAIRIE REGIONAL EMS

This building constitutes the central EMS single-start ambulance facility for Grande Prairie and Region. Eight ambulances are accommodated together with crew facilities, training and administrative facilities. The building area is 13,000 sq.ft.

MEADOWS DISTRICT FIRE/AMBULANCE STATION, EDMONTON, AB

The project includes a 1,400 m2 fire fighter and EMS facility with accommodation for six drive-through fire vehicles and two EMS vehicles. Facility includes hose tower, bunker gear room, training and sleeping accommodations, service spaces, office, staff work and recreation spaces.
